Rebecca Patterson

(ROANOKE) Rebecca Patterson, 102, of Roanoke died Thursday, July 13, 2023, at East Alabama Medical Center, Opelika. Funeral services were Monday, July 17, at Canaan Baptist Church, Roanoke at 3 p.m. with Pastor Calvin Trammell and the Rev. Sanford Johnson officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Patterson is survived by her children: Hubert Patterson (Betty) of Roanoke, Marilyn Shy of Lithonia, Ga, Warner Patterson (Cynthia) of Calera, Jeraldean McIntyre (Sedrick) Tampa, Fla., Vanessa Patterson and Stephanie Patterson both of Roanoke, and the Rev. William Patterson (Mattie) of Five Points; one sister-in-law, Irene Johnson of Roanoke; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; her Johnson Street children and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
