William ‘Pete’ Richardson
(ROANOKE) Funeral services for William “Pete” Richardson, 78, of Roanoke will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Bro. Keith Benefield officiating. Burial will follow at Potash Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 a.m.–noon.
Mr. Richardson passed away on Monday, July 10, at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Ga.
Survivors include one son, William Lynn Richardson of Roanoke; three grandchildren, Ashley Webb, Katelyn Richardson and Miranda Lebrija; six great-grandchildren, Kason, Koy, Carter, Carlee, Chase and Chandler; and one brother, James Richardson of Roanoke.
Pallbearers will be Denny Cole, Clark Benefield, Jerry Walker, Chris Webb, Travis Butler and Jamie Treadwell. Honorary pallbearers will be Jared Walker and Gene Benefield.
A Roanoke native, Mr. Richardson was born on Oct. 14, 1944, the son of William A.J. and Essie Rollins Richardson. He was a member of Potash Church of God. Mr. Richardson was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Marie Mann.
