Joyce Bolt Edmondson

(WEDOWEE) Funeral services for Joyce Bolt Edmondson, 63, of Wedowee were held on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Kevin Acre and Rev. Michael Waldrep officiating. Burial will followed at Midway Community Methodist Church Cemetery.

Ms. Edmondson passed away Thursday, June 22, at her residence.

Survivors include: significant other, Barry Mitchell of Wedowee; two sons, Larry Knight of Wedowee and Keith Holloway (Brandi) of Lineville; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four sisters, Shirley Waldrep of Roanoke, Sue Garner of LaGrange, Ga., Francis Teal of Wedowee, and Carolyn Allen of Lineville; two brothers, Don Wedgeworth of York, and Gerald Bolt of Franklin, Ga.; and special friends, Anne Laster and Kerlene Mitchell, both of Wedowee.

Pallbearers were Waylon Vowell, Chris Brooks, Jason Boyd, Kevin Baker, Kyle Simons, and Lee Brown.

A Calhoun County native, Ms. Edmondson was born on November 15, 1959, the daughter of Eugene and Mary Cash Bolt. She was Baptist by faith and worked in vending sales. Ms. Edmondson was preceded in death by her parents; son, Patrick Coley Edmondson; daughter, Kimberly Dawn Sims; three sisters, Lonetta Gray, Doris Caldwell, and Kathleen Woods; and three brothers, William Bolt, Charley Bolt, and Frank Bolt.
