County school board fills more positions
At the regular meeting of Randolph County School Board, the board approved a number of recommendations from Superintendent John Jacobs to fill personnel vacancies.
The approvals were as follows:
Recommend to approve the following as a Substitute Support Personnel:
Vanieca Akins as substitute personnel.
– Jerry Abrams, Andy Bailey and Jimmy Sprayberry as substitute bus drivers.
Jeremiah Thomas as Assistant Principal at Wadley High School, effective with the 2023-2024 school year.
The resignation of Heather Cox, bus driver effective immediately.
Casey Teal as Math/Science Teacher at Rock Mills Jr. High School effective with the 2023-2024 school year.
The Preliminary TEAMS Math contract for Casey Bishop effective July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2024.
The Preliminary TEAMS Science contract for Ronald Legg, effective July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2024.
The Advanced (3-yr) TEAMS Math contract for Maricile Adcock effective July 1, 2023.
The Advanced (3-yr) TEAMS Math contract for Joshua Horn effective July 1, 2023.
The Advanced (3-yr) TEAMS Science contract for Katie Dye effective July 1, 2023
The Advanced (3-yr) TEAMS Science contract for Joel Schrenk effective July 1, 2023.
The Advanced (3-yr) TEAMS Math contract for Jessica Farrow effective July 1, 2023.
Rebecca Clopp as elementary teacher at Wadley High School, effective with the 2023-2024 school year.
In other business, the board:
Heard a positive report from the Examiners of Public Accounts for the 2022 audit.
Approved the 2023-2024 Student Code of Conduct.
Approved the job description for the Alabama Numeracy Act K-5 Building-Based Math Coach (BBMC).
Approved to support and allow Lori S. McGill to proceed with applying for a grant at Wadley High School for funds to construct a baseball field.
