Kenneth Eugene Bledsoe

(ROANOKE) Kenneth Eugene Bledsoe, 61, a native of Stamford and long-time resident of Roanoke died on June 16, 2023, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Birmingham.

Kenneth was born on Aug. 27, 1961, to the late Mr. and Mrs.Kenneth Eugene, (Sr.) and Catherine (Hairston) Bledsoe in Stamford, where Kenneth spent most of his younger years. Kenneth graduated from Westhill High School in Stamford. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army after serving 30-plus years.

Respected for his skill inworking with his hands, Kenneth operated Plantation Patterns as a supervisor of welding and repair for 15 years.

In 2013 he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. In 2014 he earned a Master of Science Degree in Accounting with a concentration in Tax; and in 2016 he earned a Master of Science degree in Finance with a concentration in Financial Analysis.

Kenneth was a Christian, having previously joined the Catholic Church where he learned the importance of loving people and the Lord.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his father Kenneth E. Bledsoe, Sr.; mother, Catherine Hairston Bledsoe; and a sister, Kathy Bledsoe.

Memories of Kenneth E. Bledsoe, Jr. will be kept forever in the hearts of his children: sons, Jessie Wooton of Trumbull, CT, and Brandon Bledsoe of Bentonville, AR; daughter, Shannon Bledsoe and grandson, Aiden Bledsoe both of Stamford; brother, Thurman Bledsoe of Newnan, Ga.; sisters: Ida Alexander and Myra Reynolds, both of Roanoke, Gwendolyn Watts of Bridgeport, CT; very devoted friends: Fred Tucker and Rochelle McGuire both of Roanoke.
