Timothy Wayne Hodnett

(LAGRANGE, Ga.) Funeral services for Timothy Wayne Hodnett, 57, of LaGrange, Ga., will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at 1 p.m. CDT at East Vernon Baptist Church in LaGrange with the Rev. David “Bernie” Pasley officiating. Burial will follow at Shadowlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. CDT on Tuesday, June 13. Mr. Hodnett will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Wednesday.

Mr. Hodnett passed away Saturday, June 10, at West Georgia Hospice in LaGrange.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Hodnett of LaGrange; two stepdaughters, April Griffin (Timothy) and Tammy Stewart, both of Lineville; two stepsons, David Stewart (Danielle) of Woodland and Madison Stewart of Lineville; six grandchildren; one brother, Lee Hodnett of Newnan, Ga.; and two nephews.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Hodnett, Jeremy Pool, Steve Porter, Shawn Hughes, Mike Morman and Deny Cole. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Towler and Vince Powell.

An Albany, Ga. native, Mr. Hodnett was born on May 13, 1966, the son of Donald Lee Hodnett, Sr. and Joyce Mae Smallwood Hodnett. He worked in maintenance for Mohawk Industries. Mr. Hodnett was preceded in death by his parents.
