Former Wadley football coach resigns

Randolph County School Board called a meeting last Thursday to fill more open positions for the 23-24 school year. In personnel actions, the board approved:

* The resignation of Jonathan Farr, science teacher at Wadley High School effective June 30, 2023. Farr came to Wadley prior to the 2018-19 school year and served as head football coach for one season before current coach Shenan Motley was brought in the following year. Farr also coached the Wadley track and field teams and led the girls to a Class 1A state runner up finish in 2021.

* Rebecca Aderhold as special education teacher at Woodland High School, effective with the 2023-2024 school year.

* Transfer the TEAMS contract of Chris Agee from RCHS to Wadley High School effective with the 2023-2024 school year.

In other business the board agreed to allow Randolph County Cooperative Extension use of a bus to transport Randolph County 4-H students to Columbiana for 4-H camp June 14-16, 2023.  The Extension Service will provide the bus driver and reimbursement for mileage.
