Reaner Bell Cannon Gunn

(ATLANTA) Reaner Bell Cannon Gunn, 79, of Atlanta died on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at her home.

Funeral services were Friday, June 2, at 11 a.m. at Raleigh Rucker Chapel, Decatur, Ga.,with Pastor Charlayne Whitlock officiating. Internment was at Southview Cemetery in Atlanta.

Mrs. Gunn was born on Feb. 5, 1944, in Roanoke to the late Bennie Cannon Sr. and Ethel Mae Williams Cannon. She was an active member at Helping Hands Visionary Baptist Church. She loved cooking and enjoyed gardening outside and planting flowers. Her sense of fashion was unmatched from her hat to her shoes.

She is survived by three children, Noel E. Gunn, Theresa D. Gunn-Tucker (Raleigh) and Eugene Gunn Jr.; four grandchildren, Shenita A. Gunn, Eugenia S. Gunn, Taneisha K. Parker (Tony) and A’Reaner L. Tucker; six great-grandchildren, Sheniah A. Autrey, Terrel D. Autrey Jr., Marcell J. Miles, Moriah Y. Miles, Monai D. Miles and Mya K. Miles; five siblings, Louise Burroughs, Willie Dean Bell, Barbara Greathouse (John) and Harry Cannon Sr. all of Roanoke and Bennie Cannon Jr. of Atlanta; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Pastor Eugene Gunn Sr.; a son, Jose K. Gunn; siblings, Mae Susie (Sammy Lee) of Atlanta, William Cannon, Michael Cannon and Florette Cannon all of Roanoke.
