Henry Mulkey

(WEDOWEE) Funeral services for Henry Mulkey, 69, of Wedowee, were held on Monday, May 1, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Home, with the Rev. Charles Fetner officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty East Baptist Church in Woodland.

Mr. Mulkey passed away Friday, April 28, at his residence.

Survivors include his children, Shannon Harrington (Steve) of Wedowee and Stacy Mulkey of Colorado; grandkids, Bryan “Bubba” Harrington, Ashley Harrington, LaShae Mulkey, Shawn and Allison Mulkey, Trevor Garrett and Rhett Garrett; great-grandkids, Jordynn Mulkey, Aubrie Mulkey, Skyler Mulkey and Theo Mulkey; his card-playing best friend, Misty Smith of Wedowee; and his 4 legged companion, Snowflake.

Pallbearers were Mr. Mulkey’s family and friends.

Mr. Mulkey was born in Roanoke on Sept. 19, 1953, the son of Jim and Ethel Wood Mulkey. He was Baptist by faith and worked in Maintenance for Carrollton Water Board. Mr. Mulkey was preceded in death by his parents; Wife, Carol Mulkey; brothers, William Mulkey and John Mulkey.
