(WADLEY) Funeral services for Rebecca Ann Clegg, 70, of Wadley, will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Danny Anglin and the Rev. Ricky Emery officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Community Methodist Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, April 10.

Mrs. Clegg passed away on Saturday, April 8, at University Hospital in Birmingham.

Survivors include her husband, William Keener Clegg of Wadley; one daughter, Amy Sue Lee (James) of Freeport, Fla.; two sons, William O. “Bill” Clegg (Kathy) of Wadley and Timothy James Clegg of Roanoke; one brother, Gerson Carson of Roanoke; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be T. J. Clegg, J. J. Clegg, Bill Clegg, Michael Lee, Matthew Lee and Gabriel Clegg.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Clegg was born Nov. 4, 1952, the daughter of Colbert D. and Dorothy Lela White Carson. She was Methodist by faith and had retired from Clegg Manufacturing.

Mrs. Clegg was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, and two brothers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions for funeral expenses.
