Houston Earl Spratlin
(WOODLAND) Funeral services for Houston Earl Spratlin, 84, of Woodland, were held on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at 1 p.m. at Bethel East Baptist Church with Bro. Keith Runels and Chelsea Prestridge officiating. Burial followed at the adjoining cemetery.
Mr. Spratlin passed away Thursday, April 6, at his home.
Survivors include his son, Steve Spratlin (Tammy) of Roanoke; granddaughter, Chelsea Prestridge (Blake) of Auburn; and great-granddaughter, Catherine Prestridge.
Pallbearers were Johnathan Daniel, Bobby Freeman, Jon-David Freeman, Junior Parmer, Roger Maddox and Curt Stinespring. Honorary pallbearers were Charlie F. Brown, John W. Traylor, and Richard L. Craft.
Mr. Spratlin was born in Atlanta on April 29, 1938, the son of Houston and Emma Gardner Spratlin. He was a member of Bethel East Baptist Church and worked in Sales and Service for several gas companies. Mr. Spratlin was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Losette Parmer Spratlin.
