Jimmy C. Roundtree

(WEDOWEE) Funeral services for Jimmy C. Roundtree, 81, of Wedowee were Monday, March 20, 2023, at 1 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Chapel. Burial followed at Union Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Roundtree passed away on Thursday, March 16, at UAB hospital in Birmingham.

Survivors include: daughter, Anetra Garcia (Rene) of Roanoke; sons, Marvin Roundtree of Wedowee, and Jerry Roundtree (Irene) of LaFayette; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Mr. Roundtree’s family and friends.

A Wedowee native, Mr. Roundtree was born on March 27, 1941, the son of John Luther Roundtree and Annie Tolbert Roundtree. He was a member of Union Chapel Methodist Church and was a heavy equipment operator at Mosey Construction. Mr. Roundtree was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Willidean Roundtree; daughter, Brenda F. Roundtree; two sisters, Mattie Holloway and Lona M. Nuan; and two brothers, Silver Roundtree and Henry Roundtree.
