Roby Wayne Allen
(ROANOKE) Roby Wayne Allen, 70, of Roanoke passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Julia Allen of Roanoke; six children, Jill Hill of Roanoke, Chastity McClelland (Paul) of Beulah, Jeannie Allen of Roanoke, Edward Gabriel (Jerri) of Roanoke, Kaye Brissel (Bubba) of Roanoke and Myron Heggood, III (Melissa) of Pittsburg, Pa.; 10 grandchildren, Angel Hill, Hannah Hill, Cole McClellan (Onna), Trey McClelland, Jaron “Peanut” Nunn, Eli Gabriel, Owen Gabriel, Raven Brissel, Emma Brissel and Wendell “Little Bubba” Brissel, III; two great-grandchildren, Ansleigh Hill and Brantley McClelland; and four sisters, Cindy Bartlett, JoAnn Terrell, Gail Hill and Norma Jean Ingram.
A Chambers County native, Mr. Allen was born on Jan. 16, 1953, the son of Roby Lee and Mildred Brooks Allen. He was retired from Mohawk Industries where he worked as a loom technician. Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his parents.
