Back-to-back accidents on 431 in Roanoke leave two injured

Two accidents occurred within minutes of each other on Highway 431 in Roanoke Monday afternoon, leaving two people with non-life-threatening injuries.

The first accident took place at 12:18 in front of Walmart. A 2013 Porsche Cayenne driven by Tiffany Renae Wilson, 36, of Wedowee, was attempting to turn left into Walmart from the southbound turn lane and collided with the Hyundai SUV driven by Kinsley Arabella Payne, 23, of Huntsville, which was traveling north. Arabella was transported to Tanner Medical Center in Wedowee and treated for injuries.

Then at 12:34 a car leaving 431 Fuel Connection after getting some fuel attempted to drive across 431 onto South Street and collided with an oncoming vehicle traveling north on 431. Both vehicles came to rest not far from where they first made contact. Due to disabling damages both units were towed from the scene. The driver of the care leaving Fuel Connection, Elizabeth Inez Mosley was later life-flighted to an unknown hospital, treated and released.
