Rebecca H. ‘Becky’ Kirby

(ROANOKE) Graveside memorial services for Mrs. Rebecca H. “Becky” Kirby, 82, of Roanoke will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 3 p.m. at White’s Chapel Church Cemetery with Bro. Tyler Worthey officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday before services begin.

Mrs. Kirby passed away on Friday, March 10, at her home.

Survivors include her sons Mike Kirby and Marvin Kirby (Karen) of Roanoke; grandchildren, Joshua Kirby (Shelly) and Tiffany Anglin (Danny); sisters, Deborah Hurley and Aleen Driver, both of Roanoke; and brother, Frank Hurley of Roanoke.

A Roanoke native, Mrs. Kirby was born on June 7, 1940, the daughter of Pierce Dean “P.D.” Hurley and Verna Brown Hurley. She was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church and worked as a seamstress at Palm Beach Manufacturing. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edgar Doyle Kirby; daughter, Janice Rebecca Kirby; and sister, Betty Williams.
