County Incidents:

Mar 1 – A deputy was dispatched to Weigal’s Gas Station at 8342 Old Hwy 431 in reference to someone backing into the power pole in the parking lot of the gas station and then driving off. The power to the gas station was knocked out as a result of the incident and Alabama Power was dispatched.

Mar 1 – Deputies were dispatched to 57980 Hwy 22 in reference to a structure fire. When the deputies arrived on the scene, the residence was fully engulfed in flames. The cause of the fire was uncertain at the time and a passerby called it in to 911. The residence was a total loss.

Mar 5 – A deputy traveled to a residence on 575 Co Rd 131, Wedowee, to follow up on information received about a possible stolen vehicle located on the property. Upon investigation, a blue ford pickup truck and a UHAUL box truck was found and both VIN numbers returned clear. The owner of the property requested that a tow truck be dispatched to remove the vehicles from his property.

Mar 6 – A deputy was called out to Dollar General on Hwy 48, Lineville, in reference to someone caught shoplifting on the store’s security system. The clerk stated that the manager wants the suspect banned from the store. The deputy advised the clerk of warrant procedures.
