Arthur Wayne “Ott” Watson

(ROANOKE) Arthur Wayne “Ott” Watson, 68, of Roanoke passed away on Thursday, Feb. 23, at his home in Roanoke.

The family will receive friends at Quattlebaum Funeral Home from 4-6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25.

Survivors include: an ex-wife, Brenda Faye Watson of Wadley; one daughter, Sommer Melton (Troy) of Wadley; two sons, Billy C. Watson (Kim) of Roanoke and Adam B. Watson (Rebekah) of LaGrange, Ga.; and seven grandchildren, Bailey Watson, Lauren Melton, Trent Melton, Jessica Royston, Blake Watson, Harper Watson and Lydia Watson.

A Randolph County native, Mr. Watson was born in Atlanta on July 27, 1954, the son of Olif D. and Mattie Sue Edmondson Watson. He was Christian by faith and worked as a painter. Mr. Watson was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, James Watson and John Wayne Watson; and a sister, Katherine Anglin.
