Incident Reports

Feb 8 – A deputy was dispatched to Arrowhead Drive, Wedowee in reference to a stolen Jet Ski. The owner stated that she and her husband received a call from their neighbor reporting that the house alarm indicated a break in. The victim also reported that someone had cut the locks off of the gates at the end of their driveway. A black & white Honda Aquatrax with a while trailer was apparently stolen from the property. The watercraft and trailer both have a California registration.

Feb 8 – A deputy was dispatched to 30930 Hwy 431 in reference to mail being stolen out of a mailbox. The victim said that he has been having issues with his mail being stolen for a while and that he believed that he knew who was taking the mail, what type of vehicle that they drove and their place of residence. The victim also stated that the mail stolen this time was tax documents and the he was afraid someone was trying to steal his identity.

Feb 10 – While on patrol a deputy witnessed a blue Chevrolet pickup truck sitting at the intersection of Co Rd 533 and Hwy 48 with flashing amber lights on. The deputy approached the driver side of the truck and found no one in or around the vehicle. The vehicle was sitting in the middle of the road, blocking traffic from getting through the intersection. The deputy radioed for dispatch to get a wrecker en route to remove the vehicle from blocking the flow of traffic.

Feb 12 – A deputy was dispatched to the Roanoke Police Department to speak with a subject about a theft. The subject said that she and a friend were hanging out at her house and that she was going to drive her friend home later that evening. The victim went to take a shower and when she returned she discovered that her friend was gone and she was missing $6,000 that was hidden in her home. Warrant procedures were advised.
