Albert J. Gregg
(WEDOWEE) A Funeral Mass for Albert J. Gregg was held Monday, Feb. 20, 2023, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Wedowee with Father Gali Balaswamy officiating. Burial followed at Lineville City Cemetery where Mr. Gregg received military honors.
Mr. Gregg was born in Randolph County and lived in this area most of his life. He retired from the US Army and was a longtime and active member at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
He is survived by his children, Katherine Ann Shellnut of Lineville, Tom (Stacy) Gregg of Greenville, SC and Jeff (Leeann) Gregg of Atlanta; three grandchildren, Tyler, Hayden and Ashton; sisters, Mavis (Durward) Rice and Sherley Whaley of Lineville; several other extended family members and friends.
He was preceded by his parents, Jenkins B. and Vera East Gregg and his wife, Dorothea Gregg.
