Incidents:

Jan 12 – A structure fire was reported on Co Rd 872 in a garage building separate from the residence on the property. The deputy observed flames coming from the back of the building and within a few minutes the building was completely engulfed in flames. The Corinth Fire Department arrived on the scene and extinguished the fire leaving the structure still standing. It was stated by the fire department that lightening could have possibly struck the building causing the fire which would be consistent with the inclement weather in the area earlier the same day.

Jan 16 – A deputy was dispatched to Co Rd 33 in reference to a damaged door. The owner of the property stated that sometime last week someone was knocking on her house door, but when she looked out she did not see anyone. She also advised that she noticed later that the door and frame was bent around the door knob. The woman believes that someone was trying to break into her house.

Jan 16 – A safe containing contracts, car titles and a large sum of cash was reported as stolen at Co Rd 804. The owners stated that their basement door was pried open and damaged. The victims advised that they didn’t know who could have taken the safe because they had not shown anyone where it was.
