Joanna Elaine Burson

Funeral services for Joanna Elaine Burson, 56, of Roanoke will be held on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Keith Benefield officiating.  Burial will follow at Forest Home Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 13.

Ms. Burson passed away Wednesday, Jan. 11 at Bethany House in Auburn.

Survivors include one son, Andrew Christopher Wulfgang of Denver, Colo.; one sister, Julie Watts of Roanoke; and two brothers, James Wallace Burson, Jr. and John Grady Burson (Renea), both of Roanoke.

A Roanoke native, Ms. Burson was born on June 26, 1966, the daughter of Wallace Burson, Sr., and Janet Sikes. She was a member of Forest Home Church and was a homemaker.  Ms. Burson was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Markus Mendez.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to Forest Home Church.
