France Rebecca Weathers

(ROANOKE) Funeral services for France Rebecca Weathers, 78, of Roanoke will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2023, at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Mike Brewer officiating. Burial will follow at Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-2 p.m. on Tuesday before services begin.

Mrs. Weathers passed away Sunday, Jan. 8, at Tanner-East Alabama Medical Center in Wedowee.

Survivors include: one daughter, Kim Moore (Tony) and one son, Chris Weathers, both of Roanoke; grandchildren, Mandy Lambert (Sonny) and Lew Moore (Laura); great-grandchildren, Hallee Lambert, Aiden Craft and Henry Moore; three sisters, Barbara Dabbs of Roanoke, Mary Dabbs (James) of Wadley and Sheila Spradlin (Donald) of Woodland; and three brothers, Harold Spratlin (Brenda) of Woodland, Mike Spratlin (Jackie) of Wedowee and Ricky Spratlin (Jean) of Roanoke.

Pallbearers will be Lew Moore, Sonny Lambert, Timmy Smith, Sawyer Spratlin, Jason Meadows and Adam Yarbrough. Honorary pallbearers will be Aiden Craft, Henry Moore, and all of her nephews.

A Woodland native, Mrs. Weathers was born on Feb. 26, 1944, the daughter of Earnest and Florence Beck Spratlin. She was a member of Springfield Baptist Church and was a housewife. Mrs. Weathers was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 62 years, Herbert “Buck” Weathers; and siblings, Gwen Meadows, Thomas Spratlin and Gerald Spratlin.
