Monique Francoise (Bell) Whitlow

(ROANOKE) Monique Francoise (Bell) Whitlow, 63, of Roanoke.died on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2022, at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Ga.

Mr.s Whitlow was born Jan. 13, 1959, in Paris, France, the third daughter John Ceroy Bell and Cynthia Sinkey Holmes Bell. After graduating from Handley High School, Monique attended Southern Union State Community College, and completed a course of study in office administration at Kerr Business College in LaGrange, Ga. On July 8, 1978, she married Jarome — the love of her life —devoting herself to being a navy wife and mom during his enlistment.

Whitlow was preceded in death by her sister, Cynthia Bell Wilson; her parents, Cynthia and John Ceroy Bell; her mother-in-law, Mattie Ruth Whitlow Johnson; and father-in-law, Charlie Herbert Whitlow; and her eldest son, David Jarome Whitlow.

She is survived by her husband, Jarome Whitlow of Acworth, Ga.; her son, Anthony Whitlow (Angelica) of Cartersville, Ga.; brothers: John C. Bell, Jr. (Tyren Micki Duncan) of Clarksville, Tenn., and Lans Pursel (Jenifer) of Englewood, Colo.; sisters: Yvonne Bunyea of Ft. Mitchell, Dorothea Doctor (Greg) of Ellenwood, Ga., and Della R. Bell of Camp Humphries, South Korea; brothers-in-law: Gregory Whitlow (Arrevia) of Huntsville, and Herbert Whitlow (Marilyn) of Roanoke; her sister-in-law, Tonia Jones also of Roanoke; six grandchildren, a great grandson, three uncles, six aunts, several nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
