WEDOWEE – The streets of Wedowee will look a little brighter this holiday season.
At last Tuesday’s Wedowee Town Council meeting, Mayor Tim Coe told the council that new lights were being put up to replace the old ones that had a number of bulbs not working. “We have rented a lift for the week that street department employees will use to put up the lights in a safer manner,” said Coe. The mayor said the work would be done by the end of last week.
In other business, the council:
- Announced the Christmas parade would be Thursday, Dec. 1.
- Agreed to pay half of the water and power bill at the football field concession stand. Randolph County High School Athletic Club will be pay for the other half.
