Two charged with assault in Roanoke
Two Roanoke men face assault charges this week stemming from separate incidents.
Kenneth Antoine Houston, 41, of 784 Seymour Dr., was arrested on Oct. 24, and charged with aggravated assault with a knife.
Houston is alleged to have cut Antonette LaShawn Clark, 48, of Roanoke with a knife during an argument at a residence on Seymour Drive.
On Oct. 20, Roanoke Police arrested Coletan Patrick White, 29, of 727 Peachtree St. on a charge of simple assault (family). According to the report, when White was being released but learned that he also faced additional charges from the county, he became agitated.
He slammed an officer’s arm in a cell door and then damaged an exit sign with emergency lights and wiring. He was then charged with aggravated assault on a police officer (strong arm) and destruction of property by a prisoner.
White’s charged from Randolph County Sheriff’s Office include violation of bond and domestic violence by strangulation.
