Fires
A neighbor reported a fire at a house on County Road 647 near Big Springs on Oct. 14. No one was inside the house at the time. The owner, Tammy Strain, told responders that it was in the process of being renovated.
A fire was reported on Oct. 13 at a chicken house on Old Highway 431 near Morrison Crossroads, owned by Larry Cosper. No chickens were inside at the time. Morrison Crossroads and Foster’s Crossroads volunteer fire departments responded.
Incidents
A resident of County Road 487 in the Napoleon community reported on Oct. 14 that he took one of his dogs to the vet, and it was saved from poisoning. However, another dog died from being poisoned.
A 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe 4×4, Yamaha Bear Tracker ATV and a deep freezer were reported stolen from Jake Haynes Road in the Midway community on Oct. 15.
