Annual lake cleanup begins next week

For 25 years Lake Wedowee Property Owners Association has worked to make the lake and surrounding communities an even better place to live and work.

Volunteers are encouraged to join neighbors and friends for lake cleanup days Tuesday, Oct. 25 – Thursday, Oct. 27. The LWPOA can use as many volunteers and boats as possible.

Plan to meet at the Highway 48 Bridge boat ramp at 8 a.m. Coffee will be provided, and all boats will have snacks and water on board. Lunch will also be provided each day. Alabama Power provides heavy duty garbage bags and gloves. Please wear waterproof shoes and comfortable clothing.

LWPOA will provide the gas for all boats and will clean your boat at the end of the three days.
