Arrests

Joshua Heath Wiggins, 36, of Bowdon, Ga. – possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia – Sept. 27

Haydenn Lamar Wilkerson, 20, of 1895 County Rd. 59, Roanoke – second-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia – Sept. 26

Matthew Wayne Stewart, 34, of 23828 Hwy. 48, Woodland – failure to appear in court (child support) – Sept. 25

Dustin Andrew Ward, 35, of 423 Randolph St., Roanoke – failure to appear in court (child support) – Sept. 24

Lorenza Earl White, 56, of 519 Border St., Roanoke – failure to appear in court (tampering with evidence) – Sept. 22

Brian Shane Lovvorn, 48, of 1099 County Rd. 438, Woodland – Community Corrections Program violation and failure to appear in court (third-degree domestic violence) – Sept. 21

Traymon Jontavious Morgan, 29, of 750 Seymour Dr., Apt. 11, Roanoke – third-degree robbery – Sept. 21

Fire

A fire on Sept. 23 destroyed a mobile home on County Road 26 in the Level Road community. A passerby reported the fire at the vacant trailer owned by Mary Etta Waldrep. Renters had been evicted the week before, and the fire is under investigation.

Thefts

A Woodland resident reported the theft of $600 paid to a contractor who did not do the work he was paid for.

The theft of a gun was reported on Sept. 22 on Rhett Circle, Roanoke.

Several guns, VCR tapes, case knives, a chainsaw, jewelry box with jewelry and assorted tools and coins were reported stolen from a Louina Road residence on Sept. 21.

A break-in was reported on Sept. 20 at a storage building on County Road 512 near Hawk.

Other incidents

A property owner on County Road 436 near Saxon Crossroads reported finding a dead calf that did not belong to him on his property. This was the second dead cow that was not his that he has found on his property this year. He believes a vehicle had hit this calf.

A complainant reported their dog was injured while under the care of someone else, and medical attention was required.

Chambers Co. Sheriff

Antonio Nelson, 25, of Roanoke – possession of a controlled substance, second-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia

Correction

The Sept. 14 sheriff’s report contained an arrest for Timothy Winston. That report listed Winston as living at a Roanoke address, but Winston lives in Anniston.
