Arrests

William James Jennings, 36, of 11082 Hwy. 431, Wedowee – failure to appear in court (improper tag, driving with license revoked, failure to display insurance) – Sept. 19

Daniel Adam Messer, 37, of 313 Esther Circle, Wedowee – bond violation (possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, under the influence and fourth-degree receiving stolen property) – Sept. 19

Tiffany Nicole Shears, 33, of Anniston – third-degree possession of a forged instrument – Sept. 19

Terrance Lamar Hughley, 29, of 177 County Rd. 667, Roanoke – third-degree domestic violence – Sept. 18

Grand jury indictment

Jonathan David Simon, 23, of 80 Overton Mountain Rd., Roanoke – attempted murder, reckless endangerment and discharging a gun into an occupied building/vehicle. Simons is charged in connection with an incident in January in which it is alleged he shot and wounded his aunt with a shotgun.

Incident reports

A Siberian husky attacked and killed another dog whose owner was walking it on Country Breeze Circle (near the county landfill) on Sept. 16.

Everything Scripted on County Road 464, Woodland, reported an equipment fire that damaged a screen-printing machine on Sept. 14. The owners were able to put out the fire with a fire extinguisher.

Thefts

A Catahoula leopard dog was reported stolen on Sept. 16 from a residence on Old Highway 431 at Newell.

A stove, washer and air conditioner were reported stolen from a rental house on County Road 63, near Rocky Branch, on Sept. 16.

A vehicle was broken into on Sept. 15 on County Road 87, near Bethel East, and a saw, socket set, gold necklace, iPhone and Apple watch were stolen.

A cell phone was reported stolen on Sept. 15 from County Road 614, near New Hope.
