Arrests

Evander Lee Phillips, 35, of 340 Ave. A, Roanoke – two counts of failure to appear in court (child support) – Aug. 31

Corey R. Glenn, 43, of 1196 County Rd. 213, Wedowee – failure to appear in court (first-degree robbery) – Aug. 30

Tommy Martaie Houston, 34, of 24758 County Rd. 87, Graham – failure to appear in court (domestic violence – strangulation) – Aug. 30

Lateevia Minnifield, 29, of 429 County Rd. 502, Graham – first-degree theft of property and fourth-degree theft of property – Aug. 30

Bobby Lee Ramey, 43, of 17103 County Rd. 59, Woodland – seven counts of failure to appear in court (domestic violence [harassment], improper lane, speeding, reckless driving, no driver’s license, failure to display insurance) – Aug. 30

Alyssa Naomi Whaley, 27, of Woodland – second-degree domestic violence – Aug. 30

Marcy Ann Allen, 55, of 953 County Rd. 43, Heflin – failure to appear in court (possession of a controlled substance) – Aug. 29

Thefts

A resident of County Road 3292 at Swagg reported the theft of $1,980 via a phone app on Aug. 31. She sent it because a caller told her that a relative had been injured in a wreck.

A utility trailer with a 500-gallon mixing tank, chains, hoses, binder straps and mounted toolbox with tools was taken from the intersection of County Roads 39 and 340 near Omaha on Aug. 31.

A white 2005 GMC Sierra was reported stolen on Sept. 2 from County Road 82 in Newell.

A stainless steel stove and refrigerator were reported stolen on Sept. 2 from County Road 695 near Rock Stand.

Other incidents

On Aug. 30, a masked man ran into the Woodland One Stop and barricaded himself in the restroom. The clerk exited the store and locked him inside using a mop handle while she called for help. When the man finally came out of the restroom, he kicked the door until the mop handle broke and drove away.

A resident of County Road 3297 at Swagg reported on Sept. 1 that he thought a wheelbarrow and miter saw were missing, but later found them down an embankment. The wheelbarrow was busted and the miter saw damaged from being left outdoors.

A resident of County Road 17 in the Wehadkee area reported that on Sept. 1 someone threw a flowerpot through her kitchen window.

A resident of County Road 32 in the Mount Pleasant community reported on Sept. 4 that a relative had damaged his van.
