Accidental gunshot wound

Jaylon Sims, 23, of County Rd. 329 at Swagg was treated for an accidental gunshot wound on Monday. He told responders he was trying to take his gun and holster out of his waistband while driving into the driveway and shot himself in the leg.

Thefts

A cell phone was reported stolen at Flat Rock Park on Aug. 28.

Two hundred gallons of diesel fuel was reported stolen from an 18-wheeler parked on County Road 42 near Friendship Church on Aug. 27.

A 1996 Ford Mustang was reported stolen from County Road 627 at Napoleon on Aug. 26, but has since been recovered.

Other incidents

Someone broke a window at the Woodland Post Office over the weekend.

Breaking and entering a vehicle was reported on Aug. 24 on County Road 82 near Bethel East.

James Tamarcus Battle, 38, of Wadley – possession of drug paraphernalia and giving a false name to law enforcement officer

Zaccheus Antonio Brooks, 26, of Roanoke – failure to appear in court (second-degree possession of marijuana) and no driver’s license
