Thelma Vaughn
(WADLEY) Thelma Vaughn, 80, of Wadley died Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2022, at WellStar West Georgia Medical Center, LaGrange.
The funeral will be Monday, Aug. 15, at 1 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Wadley, with the Rev. William Russell officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
The remains will lie in state at the church from noon until the funeral hour.
Mrs. Vaughn is survived by four sons, Tony Spradley of Atlanta, James Weaver of Lawrenceville, Ga., Howard Weaver (Marian) of Brooklyn Park, Minn., and Tremayne Vaughn (Lillian) of Lexington, S.C; daughter, Delila Weaver of Lanett; two sisters: Brunette Burden (Kenny) of Roanoke and Drucilla James (Willie) of Wadley; four sisters-in-law, Mary Dowdell of Brooklyn, N.Y., Essie Momern of Franklin Park, N.J., Zenda Staples (Ralph) of Roanoke and Angela McKinney of Kellyton; two brothers-in-law, Mark Momern of Wadley and Lawrence Momern of Brooklyn; 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
