Thefts

A complainant reported on July 31 that she had lost $800 via Cash App trying to buy a Chihuahua from someone in Montgomery.

A resident of County Road 30, Roanoke, reported the theft of a Cricket cell phone on July 30.

A laptop and gun were reported stolen on July 26 from hunting property on County Road 852 in the Cragford area.

Someone damaged the door and window at a trailer on County Road 4700 at Newell to break in and take a table saw, tile saw, window air conditioner, misc. hand tools and a six-foot ladder on July 30.

Prescription medications and medical supplies were stolen from a mailbox on County Road 539 in the Omaha area on July 29.

A red 1995 Sprint boat was taken from a residence on County Road 30, Roanoke, on July 28.

Four Galaxy phones, an Amazon Fire TV Stick, three pocketknives, a machete, a meat cleaver and jewelry were reported stolen from a residence on Sunset Drive in near Mount Pleasant on July 26.

A Motorola radio was reported stolen on July 25 from a tractor owned by Randolph County Highway Department and parked on County Road 33, Wadley.

A 2020 Mahindra tractor and an eight-foot Bush Hog were reported stolen on July 25 from County Road 866 near Cragford.

Other incidents

The owner of property on Old Highway 431, Wedowee, reported on July 31 that someone did donuts in front of his building, slinging gravel, which broken glass in the building’s door and windows.

Someone damaged the door and door casing when they broke into a residence on County Road 57 on July 29. They ransacked the place and also damaged filing cabinets.

Criminal littering was reported on County Road 673 in the Haywood community.
