Johnny Milton Breed

(HOGANSVILLE, Ga.) Johnny Milton Breed, 81, of Hogansville, Ga., passed away July 16, 2022.

His funeral was Tuesday, July 19, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Stutts Funeral Home with the Rev. Rodney Roquemore and Bro. Henry Laster officiating. Interment was in Rock Mills Cemetery.

Mr. Breed was born Nov. 11, 1940, in Heard County, Ga., to the late Jessy Ripley Breed and Sally Fannie Shepherd Breed. He was Christian by faith. He was a hard-working man who dedicated his career to Uniroyal, where he worked as a textile spinning technician. Over the years he used his ingenuity to fix machines that malfunctioned and was able to find solutions to many problems he encountered on the job. He loved to work with electronics and even managed to make his own devices and radios. He enjoyed talking on and listening to the CB radio. His own personal CB handle was “Train Man.” He was a pleasant man who never met a stranger and a loving brother and uncle to his extended family.

Survivors include his two sisters, Mary Nell Skipper of Franklin, Ga., and Mildred Steele of Hogansville; two brothers, Jessy Frank Breed Jr. (Connie) and Edward Lee Breed, both of Franklin; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Huddleston and Sara Hill; and four brothers, Melvin Breed, Alvin Breed, Calvin Breed and Clyde Breed.
