Edward Lee Breed

(FRANKLIN, Ga.) Edward Lee Breed, 72, of Franklin, Ga., passed away July 19, 2022.

His funeral was Friday, July 22, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Stutts Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Ennis officiating. Interment followed in Rock Mills Cemetery.

Mr. Breed was born Aug. 25, 1949, in Heard County, Ga., to the late Jessy Ripley Breed and Sally Fannie Shepherd Breed. He was Baptist by faith. He worked as a security guard for Franklin Aluminum. He took great pride in his job and enjoyed working when he was able. One of his passions was country music. He loved to play the guitar and sing. He even composed some of his own songs. He also liked to go fishing. He was known as a soft-spoken gentleman who would help anyone in their time of need. He was loved by his extended family of nieces and nephews.

Survivors include his two sisters, Mary Nell Skipper of Franklin and Mildred Steele of Hogansville, Ga.; brother, Jessy Frank Breed Jr. (Connie) of Franklin; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Huddleston and Sara Hill; and five brothers, Melvin Breed, Alvin Breed, Calvin Breed, Clyde Breed and Johnny Breed, who passed away only three days before his brother.
