Janelle Maxwell Howe

(WADLEY) The funeral for Janelle Maxwell Howe, 85, of Wadley will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Malone Baptist Church with the Rev. Mickey Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday. Mrs. Howe will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services on Wednesday.

Mrs. Howe passed away Sunday, July 10, at Traylor’s Retirement Community.

A native of LaGrange, Ga., Mrs. Howe was born April 21, 1937, the daughter of Ed and Mae Crowder Maxwell. She was Baptist by faith and a homemaker.

Survivors include her three sons, Phillip “Corky” Howe and Jason Howe (Laura Nan), both of Wadley, and Eric Howe of Columbus, Ga.; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Everett Howe; one daughter, one sister, two brothers and a half-sister.

Pallbearers will be Landon Howe, Cory Howe, Andrew Hall, Jeff Evans, Chad Wilkinson and Barry Watts.
