Truck fire

The driver of a 1995 semi told deputies he pulled into Lakeside Market on May 9 because another driver on U.S. 431 had motioned and yelled to him that his trailer was on fire. William Ryan Doegg, 44, of Centre, who works for Dixie Green, unhitched the trailer from the truck. Firefighters from A&M Volunteer Fire Department responded and said they believe the fire started from the rear wheels of the trailer. They extinguished the fire before the trailer was fully engulfed. There was no damage reported to Lakeside’s property.

Thefts

A Mahindra 535 tractor and plow were reported stolen on April 27 from the intersection of U.S. 431 and County Road 121 near Swagg.

A 1999 Sierra travel trailer containing the resident’s parents’ ashes and her dog was taken on May 5 from County Road 289 near Caver’s Grove.

A 2013 Freightliner, along with a lowboy trailer, toolbox with tools, air hose and log light, was reported stolen on May 5 from Rock Stand Quick Stop on U.S. 431.

The pump tank for a well, food, clothing and tools were reported stolen on May 3 from a residence on County Road 228 near Dingler’s Chapel.

Other incidents

A resident of Tucker Way, Roanoke, reported on May 4 that a neighbor’s dog came into her yard and attacked her dog causing injuries.

Residents of County Road 2501 near Cool Springs reported on May 3 that their mailbox had been knocked down and internet cable cut.
