911 dispatchers honored during dispatcher week
Dispatchers at Randolph County 911 are being honored this week during National Dispatchers Week. Gifts were donated from businesses and a drawing was held to see which dispatcher got which prize.
In a related matter, house bill (HB414) is on the GovernorÕs desk awaiting her signature. The bill approves standardizing training for 911 telecommunicators. It also gives 911 dispatchers First Responder status, whereas before they were classified as clerical.
