Thefts
A chainsaw was taken from a yard on County Road 17 on March 21.
A license plate was taken from a truck on County Road 59 on March 21.
A resident of Wedowee reported that he allowed a woman to use his 1999 Dodge Dakota truck on March 13. The woman reported the truck stolen on March 17. She told authorities she had purchased the truck from its owner. The owner said he did not sell her the vehicle. After further questioning, the woman no longer wished to report it as being stolen. The owner said he would pursue charges.
Several guns and a laptop were taken from a residence on County Road 1601 at Rock Mills on March 16.
Other incidents
A resident of County Road 671 reported that they let someone use their green 2005 Toyota Highlander on March 19 and has not heard from him since.
A resident of County Road 59 reported on March 20 that the windshield of their vehicle was hit with a rock and shattered while parked at their residence.
A silver 2005 Nissan Altima owned by Tracy Parmer caught fire because the grass around it caught fire on March 17 on County Road 92 in Newell.
