A fire on Sunday morning around 8 a.m. destroyed a mobile home on County Road 133 near New Hope, the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Thang Esther. They reported seeing smoke coming from the breaker box, so they grabbed belongings and got out. Responders said a heater in the back bedroom could have caused the problem at the breaker box.
Barn venue fire
A fire on Friday evening destroyed Whispering Pines Venue on Highway 48 in Graham.
Owner Gregory Beck reported that he had left multiple small electric heaters running to test them and was notified shortly thereafter by a passerby that the barn was on fire
Firefighters from Woodland and Newell responded, but their response was limited because of the power lines.
Accidental gunshot wound
A resident of County Road 458 in the Providence area accidentally shot himself in the lower leg on March 9. The victim told deputies he had gone to the end of the driveway to turn water off and was returning when he tripped over his bike and negligently discharged his shotgun.
A black 2017 Ford Fusion was reported stolen on March 14 from a residence on County Road 110 in Graham.
A family member of a woman in the nursing home reported financial exploitation of the elderly on March 2 because of withdrawals from her bank account and use of her credit card.
A Southern Linc phone was stolen from a person doing work at Macedonia Baptist Church on County Road 33 at Level Road.
A gray 2013 Chevrolet Equinox was vandalized on March 13 while parked at a residence on County Road 87 near Bethel East.
The owner of a residence on County Road 45 near Potash reported that someone had thrown concrete blocks through the windows. A TV was taken from the residence but was found on the porch of a neighboring house, also owned by the complainant.
A resident of County Road 92 in Graham reported that her son borrowed her silver 2007 Infinity on Feb. 20 and has not returned it. The vehicle was used in a crime that is being investigated by Lineville Police Department.
A resident of Circle Drive in the Twin Lakes subdivision reported on March 6 that someone had slashed a tire on his 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe.
