James E Bryant

(ROANOKE) James E. Bryant, 79, of Roanoke passed away Thursday, Feb. 17, 2022, at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Ga.

A private funeral service will be held.

A Clay County native, Mr. Bryant was born July 21, 1942, the seventh child of George and Grace Suggs Bryant. He was a member of High Pine Baptist Church and retired from Uniroyal. Mr. Bryant enjoyed hunting, fishing and skeet shooting and was an avid outdoorsman. He loved working in his yard and garden.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Bryant of Roanoke; two daughters, Benita Brown (Mark) of Roanoke and Rita Young (Ron) of Wedowee; fur baby, Emma; two grandchildren, Matthew Brown (Amanda) and Emily Jackson (Marc); and four great-grandchildren, Liam Brown, Nolan Brown, Caroline Jackson and Susannah Jackson. Mr. Bryant was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, William Holliday.

Pallbearers will be Mark Brown, Matthew Brown, Marc Jackson, Ron Young and Travis Burks. William Holliday will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations in memory of Mr. Bryant be sent to Randolph County Animal Shelter at 104 Animal Shelter Rd., Wedowee, AL 36278. Online condolences may be expressed at www.benefieldfhwedowee.com.
