Michael J. Watkins
(ROANOKE) Michael J. Watkins, 61, of Roanoke passed away Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022, at WellStar West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 2, from 11:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette. An evening visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. at Peace and Goodwill Baptist Church in Roanoke.
A graveside service will be Thursday, Feb. 3, at 1 p.m. CST at Stateline Baptist Church Cemetery in Franklin, Ga., with the Rev. L.B. Houston, eulogist, and the Rev. Calvin Trammell officiating.
Deacon Watkins is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 15 years, Yolanda Hambrick Watkins; son, Michael Marcell Watkins (Danyella); two daughters, Tonya Scott and Brittney Hambrick; three brothers, Stacy James Watkins, Rodney Watkins (Colquette) and Patrick Watkins (Anjonetta); four grandchildren, Kadell Scott, Taylor Scott, Marius Scott and Tobias James Hambrick; and great host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
