Irma Baker Green

(OXFORD) The funeral for Irma Baker Green, 89, of Oxford will be Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2022, at 1 p.m. at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Wayne Woods officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery, Roanoke.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon to 1 p.m. before services on Wednesday.

Ms. Green passed away Sunday, Jan. 30, at Noland Hospital in Anniston.

An Ashville native, Ms. Green was born Nov. 23, 1932, the daughter of Luther and Irma Head Baker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Roanoke and worked as a customer service representative for Alabama Power.

Survivors include her daughter, Vicki Green of Oxford; daughter-in-law, Kathy Green of Woodland; two grandchildren, Amberlee Messer (Lee) and Amee Green; two great-grandchildren, Greenlee Messer and Julee Anna Messer; brother, Carey Baker (Jane) of Smyrna, Ga.; and two nieces, Brenda Jones and Cindy Lanham (Cliff). Ms. Green was preceded in death by her parents; son, Wayne Green; sister, Mildred Jones; and brother-in-law, Perry Jones.

Pallbearers will be Raymond Williams, Cliff Lanham, Lee Messer, Andy Stinson, Bill Head and Jerry Baker.
