Janice Susie Emma Bonds Barnes
(WOODLAND) Janice Susie Emma Bonds Barnes, 81, of Woodland passed away Jan. 23, 2022.
A graveside service was held Jan. 26 at Old Camp United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. David Parmer officiating.
Mrs. Barnes was born Sept. 27, 1940, in Randolph County to the late Shellie Bonds and Lois Gosdin Bonds. She was a Baptist by faith. At the age of 16 she went to work for Lamar Manufacturing as a seamstress. Over the next 50 years, she became a valued employee of the company. When she retired, she was a pattern and fashion designer and was creating the clothes worn by the customers. At home she loved to use her talents to sew and crochet. The quilts, clothing and crafts she made will be valued and cherished by her family and friends for many years to come.
Survivors include her husband, James Edwin Barnes Sr. of Woodland; children, James “Eddie” Barnes (Florrie) and Janet Brazeal (John) of Franklin, Ga., and Allen Barnes (Dan Benge) of Cumming, Ga.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Jenell Moran (Roger) of Frankln; brother, Tim Bonds of Franklin; and a number of other relatives and friends.
