Contact registrars if postcard not received

If you are registered voter in Randolph County and did not recently receive a postcard confirming your voter registration information, please contact the Randolph County Registrar’s Office at (256) 357-2138.

These postcards, which were mailed on Jan. 31, were not forwardable by the post office. More than 1,500 have been returned to the Registrars Office so far. Some of them have a sticker indicating the new address, but many more do not.

Another mailing will be sent in March, and these cards will be forwardable. However, since the post office only forwards for one year after a move, many of these may also be returned.

Based on these mailings, voters’ names will be removed from the voters list. If you did not get a postcard, please go by or call the Board of Registrars office so that you won’t be purged from the voters’ list. If your schedule prohibits you from going by in person, the forms can be mailed to you.

The employees of the Registrar’s Office may correct a typo or misspelling, but if the address is totally changed, then the office must have a voter’s signature to make the changes.
