(BOYNTON BEACH, Fla.) Mary Jim Robinson Thomas, 100, of Boynton Beach, Fla., died Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013.

Her graveside service will be Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 11 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham.

Mrs. Thomas grew up in Five Points, Ala., graduated from Five Points Consolidated High School in 1930, then graduated from Alabama College at Montevallo in 1934. Mrs. Thomas was a charter member and president of Alpha Delta Kappa Society, a retired schoolteacher and a lifelong Methodist.

A former resident of Birmingham, Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Wesley "Tommy" Thomas; and her daughter, Sylvia Ellen Thomas Davis. Mrs. Thomas is survived by her grandchildren, Karen Nesbitt, James Newell, Kelly Stallings and Jonathan Newell; six great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a niece.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10 a.m. until service time at Ridout's Elmwood Chapel in Birmingham.
