(WEDOWEE) Jiles Oliver "J.O." Rollins, 77, of Wedowee died Sunday, March 2, 2014, at Wedowee Hospital.

There will be a private family memorial service at a later date.

An Elmore County native, Mr. Rollins was born March 7, 1936, the son of Henry Simmie and Dixie Thrash Rollins. He was retired from Kroger Grocery Inc. as a receiving clerk. He had served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Rocky Branch Baptist Church.

Mr. Rollins is survived by his wife, Evelyn Harry Rollins of Wedowee; one daughter, Donna R. Pallas of Wedowee; one son, Harry Oliver Rollins of Wedowee; two sisters, Margie Gay of Big Springs and Jean Taylor of Anniston; two brothers, James C. Rollins of Wadley and Thomas J. Rollins of Anniston; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Mark A. Rollins; two sisters and one brother.
