(SENOIA, Ga.) The funeral for Louise Foster Flynt, 83, of Senoia, Ga., will be Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at 1 p.m. CDT at Forest Home Christian Church, Roanoke, with Rev. Stoney Halsey officiating and Butch Jones delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow at the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Flynt died Saturday, April 27, at Doctors Hospice in Fayetteville, Ga.
A Randolph County native, Mrs. Flynt was born Sept. 9, 1929, daughter of J.W. and Mattie Lou Barfield Foster. She was a member of Forest Home Christian Church and a self-employed hairdresser of 50 years. She had resided in Fort Payne, Cedar Bluff and spent 20+ years in Gaylesville, Ala.
Survivors include one daughter, Pebble Towe of Senoia; one son, Clayton Eugene Upchurch of Louisiana; five sisters, Sarah Mickle, Neva Talley and Helen Hazel, all of LaGrange, Ga., Ruby Pendergrass of Christian City, Ga., and Ann Nelson of Fayetteville; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, D.R. Flynt; one brother, James Foster; and a grandson.
Pallbearers will be Butch Jones, Ben Bowles, Charles Knowles, Jeff Towe, Jesus Jimenez and Clayton Upchurch.
The family will receive friends at the church (2808 County Rd. 91, Roanoke) for two hours prior to services beginning at 11 a.m. CDT on Tuesday.
