Lake Wedowee Property Owners Association will collect Christmas trees for recycling. Trees will be installed in Lake Wedowee as fish habitat to attract fish and improve fishing.

Trees may be donated by placement in the designated container in front of Randolph County Concrete at 18985 Hwy. 431 N. in Wedowee.  Please remove all decoration from the trees before delivery to the container.

The program is a cooperative effort of LWPOA, Alabama Power Company, Randolph County Concrete/Georgia Alabama Roll Off Containers, D&S Marine and the Boy Scouts.

Alabama Power Company personnel and the Boy Scouts will place the collected trees in the lake at various locations.  The GPS coordinates of the habitat will be available on the APC web site so all fishermen can access the information and fish the areas.
