A Roanoke couple was arrested last week in connection with the theft of a vehicle from an apartment complex.

According to the reports from Roanoke Police Department, Ashley Nicole Brown, 27, and Gregory Markeith Henderson, 28, of 364 Field St., Apt. 3, Roanoke, are charged with receiving stolen property.

On the night of Sept. 22-23 the pair allegedly took the car key to the 1998 Ford Mustang from Troy Ware while he was visiting the apartments watching a football game. Ware was working on the car for the car's owner, Timothy Terry of Wadley.  When Ware discovered the key was missing, he went to get a spare key, and when he returned, the vehicle was missing.

On Sept. 24, following an episode at a convenience store, the LaGrange Police charged Henderson with public drunkenness, and the Mustang was located at a towing facility in LaGrange.

In August, Brown was charged with stealing a 2001 Chevrolet truck and 1993 Skeeter fishing boat from a Johnson Street residence, and in March, she was charged with stealing her sister's Ford Escort.
